A Blissful State
A Blissful State
By Shanaya George
A miniscule portion of the nation,
Surrounded by the Arabian sea, invoking devotion,
The beaches soothe those displeased,
As the coconut trees sway to the tunes of the barmy breeze.
Ancestral homes on every street,
Laid out tall and neat,
Ambrosial scents of recheado fish
Augment the diverse Goan dish.
The hustle and bustle of the marketplace
Is as loud as a crowded space.
Vendors display their intricate goods
As a symbol of their livelihoods.
Guitarists strum their strings to the Goan Mando,
While dancers groove to Fugdi, Dekhni and Dhalo,
A blend of vigor and exceptional skill,
Full of undying thrill.
At grounds of every place,
Football is played at a high pace,
The old and young together,
Despite any weather.
Goa, a place where all is fun,
Where work is leisurely done,
To witness Goa's complete essence,
One must respect it'sh distinct pleasance
